East York Massage and Physiotherapy Studio
RANA HAMDY, PT
Resident Physiotherapist
Rana’s sweet spot is turning complex problems into simple, doable plans. She holds a Master of Science in Physiotherapy from the Unviersity of Toronto and an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology from McMaster University, where she also completed a minor in Theatre & Film—a combo that blends clinical rigour with clear, empathetic communication so patients know what they’re doing and why it matters.
Her focus is function: getting people back to the activities that define their lives—work, lifting, sport, or pain-free daily movement. Rana starts by mapping the real driver of symptoms, then builds a step-by-step program that fits a patient’s schedule and capacity. Treatment combines manual therapy, soft and deep tissue release, joint mobilizations, nerve flossing, targeted exercise prescription, and coaching to keep momentum between sessions.
Beyond the clinic, Rana contributes to health-equity research with the ACCESS Lab at the University of Toronto, bringing a thoughtful, person-first lens to care. Having lived on three continents, she meets patients where they are—culturally and physically—and helps them move forward with confidence.
